On a Linux system, it is quite easy to set up, specially if it is deb bases because there is a package for it. My personal favorite of these is meld (specially for folder comparison). Examples of such are:Ī detailed comparison between the them and others can be found here. Therefore several visual interfaces to ease the comparison side by side. This can come as using the diff command line tool, sadly it is not visually pleasant. Gladly, many applications exist for such a task.
